Holly Masterson

Honors graduate of The Rhode Island School of Design.

As owner and principle partner of design studios throughout New York City, Connecticut and Florida, my work over the years has encompassed graphics, film, exhibitions, interior design, space planning, architecture and now, jewelry design.

I moved to Santa Fe in the late 1980's and began a line of earrings called "gatherings." As a collector of ancient artifacts and antiques, I incorporate these items into my work.

After intensive study in silversmithing, I developed my personal style of work that led to what is referred to as "ancient contemporary." By combining the very old traditions of primitive hand casting and finishing, along with contemporary hand built techniques, I am able to expand and explore the infinite possibilities of jewelry making.

I have been fortunate to have my work selected for several books, shows and exhibitions. In addition, I also enjoy spinning, weaving and knitting. Today, I live on a small ranch outside of Santa Fe, with my husband, a potter. Daily life in our solar home and working studios, along with caring for gardens and animals, keep us both very busy.
